Hello my name is Margie Dilworth I’m a senior in high school and I attend A. Maceo Smith and what we have learned in sociology class is about different cultures and how would you feel if a person from a different culture came to your neighborhood wouldn’t you look at them crazy because you’re not use to how that person look or talk but that’s a little of what we learned in sociology class we also video chat with other schools from all over the world it’s a good learning experience for a class. A. Maceo Smith High school is somewhat very little culture school. But I enjoy my sociology class because we learn about different things.

Cultural Diverse

The cultural diversity in my neighborhood is very limited. Groups that share social characteristics have common cultural standards. My neighborhood is very ethnocentric; they judge others in terms of their own cultural standards. They can’t imagine others living any other way and don’t understand their beliefs compared to their own. The values and belief that’s they feel are superior to the values and belief of someone with different preferences. If other cultures moved into a neighborhood with high ethnocentrism they would need to have a lot of cultural universal traits to live together. There are different people that stay around my neighborhood every day that speak differently from my family and act a different way or even eat different. There’s nothing wrong with having different people in your neighborhood maybe we can learn how they culture is.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT ABORTIONS?

I am so against abortions I don’t think that its right for someone to take a baby life.i thinks if a women didn't won't to get pregnant they would have either use protection or didn’t have sex at all. I think that a woman should sit and think about what they about to do and think about giving it away to someone that can’t have children and give it to them and you won’t have to worry about taking care of the baby. In the article it states that blacks have the highest percentage than whites I believe that it might be true because there is a higher rate of young African Americas getting pregnant everyday and I also believe that Hispanics have a higher rate than African Americans.
